Test Menu & Result Codes

Build and maintain your compendium with AI doing the tedious parts.

The test menu is the backbone of the lab: order codes, specimen types, result codes (numeric, text, or selection), LOINC, custom attributes, and links to instruments, reagents, QC, and workflows. A guided build wizard and AI suggestions get a new menu live in days instead of weeks.

Capabilities

What you can do

Structured result codes

Numeric, text, and selection result codes with automatic numbering, display order, required flags, units, LOINC, and decimals.

AI-assisted fields

AI suggests specimen types, result codes, and other fields from a test name so staff confirm instead of researching from scratch.

Build test menu wizard

A guided flow for standing up a new menu or location without missing required setup.

Connected to the bench

Link each test to the instruments it runs on, the reagents it consumes, and the QC materials that govern it—due-soon flags appear right on the menu.

Custom attributes

Add your own fields, including Performing Lab (In House / Send Out) and external reference-lab test codes.

Pathology sites library

Pathology tests carry a sites library used during histology accessioning.

Bulk actions

Select and act on many tests at once when cleaning up or restructuring the menu.

AI that assists—people stay in control

AI suggests result codes and test fields from context. Every suggestion is shown for review—nothing is saved until a person accepts it.

Common questions

Can we move a menu between locations or environments?

Yes. Compendium export/import and Time Machine snapshots move the test menu and related configuration, and TEST ↔ LIVE sync copies it between paired organizations.

Do pathology tests work differently?

Pathology tests use a sites library instead of numeric result codes, and feed the histology accessioning flow.
