Lab Workspace

Accessioning & Cases

From requisition to released result on a fixed, auditable path.

Register patients and tests, capture insurance and ICD codes, print labels, and move each case through a fixed workflow—accessioning, per-test result entry, and finalize & release. Queue tabs keep missing-information, ready-for-LIS, pending, and released work visible at a glance.

Capabilities

What you can do

Fixed workflow stages

Accessioning → per-test result entry → finalize & release, with clear rules for what can be edited at each stage.

Queue tabs that match the work

Missing info, Ready for LIS, Pending, Released, and Deleted—with routing filters, search, and row and bulk actions.

Complete patient context

Demographics, primary/secondary/tertiary insurance, ICD codes, ordering physician, and site from the shared Customers registry.

Missing information workflow

Flag gaps, recover them through Client Services or the Client Portal, and release once complete.

Accession numbering & labels

Configurable accession number sequences and label identifiers per location, printing straight to DYMO or Zebra.

Send to LIS

Finish accession and transmit to your LIS, including stamped requisition PDFs, with force re-send when needed.

Clinical, Stool, and Pathology lanes

One New Accession chooser routes to the right workspace, each with its own number sequence and queues.

Common questions

Can I save a partial accession?

Yes. Save draft keeps work in progress; Complete accession enforces required fields before the case moves on.

What if the requisition is missing data?

Flag it. The case lands in Missing info, and Client Services (MIRP) or the ordering practice through the portal can fill the gaps.
